Jānis Potnieks
Founder
Jānis Plotnieks is a highly experienced and certified real estate professional, investor, and entrepreneur.
Over the past decade, Janis has developed and launched various real estate projects, including residential buildings, villages, and warehousing developments for major international brands, while also acting as a private investor.
Janis’ previous experience includes successfully managing marketing and HR companies, where he remains actively involved. He holds a Business Administration diploma from Riga Business School (Riga Technical University). In addition to investor relationship coordination, he contributes his expertise to support the marketing team with various marketing activities.
Ludmila Jadčenko
Board member
Doctor of Economics (Dr.oec.), Master of Economics (Mg.oec.) with honors in Finance and Credit, Bachelor of Laws (Bs.iur), and CIPS certification (2008).
Co-owner of FUNDAUS TRUST AGENT OÜ (Estonia), a licensed company providing trust services. The company specializes in offering comprehensive services for incorporating new businesses, including financial institutions.
Owner and head of the consulting company SIA FinConsulting (Latvia), which has been specializing in financial and business consulting for 15 years. The company’s expertise includes business plans, market research, EU structural fund projects, expert evaluations of project viability and economic feasibility, financial analysis, and financial management outsourcing. This encompasses budgeting and control, financial modeling, optimization problem-solving, in-depth cost analysis, raising funds from credit institutions and private investors, and developing Highest and Best Use Analysis concepts.
Jana Šmerlinga
Lawyer
Jana is an integral part of the core team. Together with the CEO, she helped develop our business model, address issues related to the establishment and licensing of the company, draft legal documents, plan future activities, and evaluate them from a legal perspective.
Jana holds a Master’s Degree in Law, having graduated from the University of Latvia and Turiba University. She has over 15 years of experience in the legal field, including roles in banking and other financial institutions. Her expertise spans financing, financial instruments, AML, GDPR, maritime law and ship finance, as well as banking and corporate law.
In 2018, Jana founded her own legal bureau, BONAMEUS, which has served as the primary legal and compliance advisor for FUNDAUS since its inception.
As part of her work with FUNDAUS, Jana conducts high-level due diligence on all customers—both investors and project owners—and performs legal assessments of all projects offered for financing on the FUNDAUS platform.
Marina Latinceva
Chief Compliance Expert
Marina has been an integral part of the professional JURISTO team since the company’s inception. Under her guidance and meticulous care, all mandatory internal procedures for the platform were developed in full compliance with regulations. This included ensuring the platform’s licensing by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Estonia as a financial services provider and preparing the necessary documentation for our agent company, FUNDAUS TRUST AGENT OÜ, to obtain its operating license for trust services.
The highest standards of JURISTO’s policies and procedures, aligned with international AML requirements and best practices of financial market participants, are strengthened by Marina’s extensive experience. She has over 10 years of expertise in commercial banking, focusing on customer onboarding and due diligence. During this time, Marina contributed to various AML processes in credit institutions, including policy and procedure development, in-depth client investigations, and compliance supervision.
Committed to continuous professional development, Marina closely monitors and reports on recent and upcoming amendments in AML regulations and actively participates in vocational training and seminars to stay ahead in her field.
In addition to her AML expertise, Marina is deeply involved in GDPR-related processes and provides comprehensive advice and support in compliance matters. Since 2019, she has been a partner at BONAMEUS, a Latvian legal bureau that has served as an advisor and supporting company for FUNDAUS in legal and compliance matters.
